The Storm

storm

It was unexpected.
Set upon us without a bit of warning;
No sirens, warnings or watches predicted its impending arrival.
It just suddenly appeared,
Upending features and the living room furniture.
Carried me from the sofa to the bathroom floor.
Leaving me
Bloodied, battered and bruised
Wondering if I would live through the next storm.
